In the beginning…

Some skills are easier to master than others.  Picking up a camera and seeing a whole new world through a lens came naturally to me as a child.

Working on this website?  Not so easy

For awhile now I have been hunched over my computer, trying to create the perfect website for my photography business.  However, I have discovered something of great importance:  I am not a Wizard Webmaster.

Nope, not even close.

And this, my dear friends, has kept me from announcing that I am

Open for Business!

Kinda silly, right?

I mean, when I look through all the photographs that I have taken as a seasoned photographer, I know the images that clients like best are not the posed portraits that ‘old school’ photography would consider “perfect”.

People love the images that are unplanned.  The ones that captured the subject unaware or daydreaming such as a toddler examining the world around her or a child expressing their independence.

Viewers are drawn into the emotion an image conveys such as an intimate moment between a baby and his mother or the natural and unabashed reaction between two people who forgot a camera was present.

These are the ‘perfect imperfect’ things I see through my lens that I want to photograph and share with you.

Take a minute to look in the Portfolio to view more images.  And please check back later for a full description of the photographic services I offer.

And I’ll keep tweaking the website until I make it perfect;-)

I’m so proud of you…Seriously
You went after your dream and achieved it and for that you should be proud of yourself.
I love the website and love the pictures ( of course) and I will be emailing everyone and telling everyone to view it.

Excellent Effort – what’s not to like about this website – it is creative, informative, very user friendly and most importantly it showcases your talent as a photographer! Wishing you continued success Janice !

Thank you sincerely for sharing the gifts of your talent…A lovely place of refuge for those of us who dream, but do not create. I’m going to bring a chair next time and stay for hours. You are gifted; remember that. xo
